PROJECTS ABROAD

Up until the last minutes of 2020, before Covid put a temporary halt on international travel, I was working as a travel writer and photographer stationed in Córdoba, Argentina for a volunteer travel company, Projects Abroad. As the wave of news washed across the globe of the pending pandemic, events were cancelled, businesses were closed, and people flew around the world to safely arrive home and observe stay in place regulations. I was one of the lucky ones to make it back home.

 

Fortunately enough, I  had enough time to produce photos, videos, websites, and blog posts about intercultural exchange programs. I represented the organization across Argentina and the Americas, capturing photographs, pitching and writing original stories, and optimizing our webpages. Throughout the assignment, I worked alongside doctors, lawyers, teachers and conservation professionals to create meaningful and inspiring content to encourage international volunteer travel. As someone who had benefitted from my travels around the world and the educational opportunities it provided, I was excited to share these stories online with people on their quest for adventure.
